Friends Pub & Restaurant
Every weekend this unique pub with its lively atmosphere is where unforgettable experiences take place. There is no pub quite like it in South Africa, especially for watching rugby. Live bands perform here every weekend, unbelievable for a country pub. Talented local artists and well known bands such as K2 come to this pub for the memorable atmosphere it creates. An awesome menu and fine wine selection top it off. Kelvin (owner and manager) keeps this Top Clarens Attraction buzzing. See their Menu:

Picnic on the Clarens Square
The centre of the village, the square, belongs to the public. It is a great place to sit down, look up at the sky or towards the mountains and take it all in. Restaurants surrounding the square will be happy to pack a take-away meal for you. The Old Stone Bottle Store on the corner of the square stocks a variety of very good wine and deli shops will fill your picnic basket with all sorts of interesting and new goodies. Why not?

Clarens Brewery
Located right by the square (ask anyone). Serving locally handcrafted beers, ales, stout and ciders. Cherry Cider (in season) is a favourite. You can ask to taste all the current brews (there is no charge for this). The atmosphere is pumping on weekends, beers are getting poured, German sausages for the hungry, great service and festivity.
